One click installs it into Google Chrome, like any other program on the computer. After that it opens from the desktop and runs with no internet at all, so billing never stops when the network does.

Scan a bill and post the purchase

Give it the supplier’s bill as a PDF or a photo. It reads the supplier, the invoice number and every line — batch, manufacturing date, expiry, quantity, rate — and shows them for checking. Accept it and the purchase is posted: stock goes up batch by batch, the supplier’s dues are updated, and the scan stays attached to the bill.

Attach the papers to the bill

Keep the document with the entry: attach the supplier’s bill, a delivery note, a cheque or UPI screenshot — as many PDFs or photos as you like — to any purchase, any sale, or any payment you record. Batch-wise stock with expiry

Every batch carries its own manufacturing and expiry date. While billing, the oldest batch in stock is picked first, and stock can never go below what is really there.

Questions shopkeepers ask

Is it really free, for life time?

Yes. No subscription, no charge per bill, no paid version with the useful parts in it. If anybody asks you for money for this software, do not pay them.

Where is my data kept?

Inside your own computer, in the browser’s storage. Nothing is uploaded and nobody else can read it. Because of that, clearing the browser’s data removes it — so take a backup, which writes one zip file you can keep anywhere, including Google Drive.

Does it work without internet?

No internet is needed to run it. The connection is used only the first time, to install it into Chrome. After that it opens from your desktop like any other program and works entirely offline — a bill is never held up by a network that is down, and a shop with no broadband can use it on a phone hotspot once and then forget about it.

Can it really read a supplier’s bill from a scan?

Yes — a PDF from a scanning app, or a photo. Lines with batch, expiry, quantity and rate are read and shown for checking; the bill total and the calculated total are compared, so a wrong reading is visible before saving. Accept it and the purchase is posted with the stock, and the scan itself stays attached to that bill. Nothing is uploaded: the reading happens on your own computer.

Does it handle GST returns?

It prepares GSTR-1 — B2B, B2CS, B2CL, HSN summary and documents issued — as an Excel workbook and as the CSV files the GST offline tool imports. Send that folder to your CA, or file it yourself.

Is there an account to make?

Where your data lives

Every bill, party, batch and attached scan is stored inside this browser, on this computer. There is no account, no sign-in and no server holding a copy.

What leaves this computer

Nothing, on its own. The app does not send your bills, customers, stock or totals anywhere, and it collects no usage data. The one request it ever makes is the GST lookup during setup: when you press “Fetch Name, Address and Auto Configure”, the GST number you typed is sent to our lookup service, which returns the name and address registered against it. Nothing else is sent, and only when you press that button. Backups go only where you put them.

What destroys it

Clearing this browser’s site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes every bill, batch and attached scan. Nothing is left behind on the computer, and we have no copy to restore for you. A backup .zip is the only way to get it back.

Your backups

A backup is one .zip: the database plus every attached scan and receipt. It is written to the folder you choose in Settings → Backup. Until you choose a folder, nothing is backed up by itself and “Backup now” lands in Downloads. Only the newest few are kept, as set by “Keep last N backups”.

The short version. Your shop’s books never leave your own computer. There is no account, no sign-in, no cookies and no tracking of any kind. The one thing this software ever sends is a GST number, and only in the moment you press the button that asks for it.

1. Who this is from

SutaNutan makes and gives away the software called SutaNutan ShopKeeper. You can reach us on +91 79806 89605. We do not call / sms / dm / email you unless you have called us first.

2. What the software keeps, and where

Every bill, party, product, batch and attached scan you enter is written into storage belonging to this browser, on this computer. It is not sent anywhere and there is no copy on any server of ours. We cannot read your accounts, and we could not hand them to anybody else even if we were asked, because we do not have them.

3. Your customers’ data is yours

Customer names, addresses, phone numbers and GST numbers that you type into the software stay on your computer along with everything else. You are the one holding that information, not us. Because of that, keeping it safe — and answering for it if somebody asks — is yours to do. A backup file carries all of it, so keep backups where only you can reach them.

4. The one thing that is sent

During setup, and in Settings, there is a button that fills your shop’s registered name and address from your GST number. When, and only when, you press it: the 15-character GST number you typed is sent to our lookup service; our service asks a GST data provider (gstinapi.in) what is registered against it; and the registered name, trade name, address, pincode, state and status come back and are filled into the form.

Nothing else is sent with it — not your bills, not your customers, not your stock, not your name. We do not keep a record of the lookups you make. The answer is held in your own browser’s cache for a day so that pressing the button again costs nothing. If you would rather not use it at all, type your shop’s details in by hand; everything works the same.

5. This website

These pages set no cookies, load nothing from anybody else’s server, and carry no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels. Nothing here asks you to fill in a form. Like every website, the machine serving these pages keeps an ordinary access log — the address your internet connection is using, the time, and which file was asked for. It exists to keep the server working and to spot abuse, it is not looked at to identify anybody, and it is not joined up with anything else.

6. What sits on your device, and how to get rid of it

Your books — the database and every attached scan, in the browser’s own storage for this website. One preference — whether you left the menu open or collapsed; nothing else is remembered about you. And a copy of the app’s files, so it opens without the internet.

Clearing this browser’s site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes all of it — your books included. Nothing is left behind on the computer, and we have no copy to restore for you. A backup .zip is the only way to get it back.

7. Other people’s services

The GST data provider named in section 4 is the only outside service this software ever reaches, and only for a lookup you asked for. Nothing is shared with anybody else, and nothing about you or your shop is ever sold, rented or handed over — there is nothing on our side to hand over.

8. Children

This is software for running a shop. It is not meant for children and nothing in it is aimed at them.

9. If this policy changes

Any change appears here with a new date above. The software is free and needs no account, so there is no address of yours for us to write to — please look here if it matters to you.
